Resetting your password with ULID Password Self-Reset

Answer your security question to reset your ULID password using ULID Password Self-Reset. The system will give you a temporary password that you should change immediately.

If you have set up a security question, you can use it to reset your ULID password using ULID Password Self-Reset. Follow the directions below.

  1. Go to http://www.ilstu.edu/ulid.
  2. Click on ULID Password Self-Reset.
  3. On the following page, click on ULID Password Self-Reset.
  4. Fill out the form and click Reset Password.
  5. Your password will be reset to an eight-digit number ending in a lower-case "z". Make sure you write it down. This is a temporary password; you should change it immediately.

After you've completed the ULID Password Self-Reset, you should immediately change your password to something personal and secret.

Here are some tips:

  • Your University ID (UID) Number is printed on the front of your Redbird Card.
  • You must choose the same security question you previously set up.
  • You must type the same answer you provided when you set up the security question.
  • Your answer is case-sensitive so make sure you use capitals or lower-case letters just as you did when you set up the security question.
