How to scan your computer with AIMFix
If you use AOL Instant Messenger and you are experiencing problems with pop-ups, ad software, spyware, or malware, you should scan it with AIMFix.
AimFix is an anti-virus tool that can find and remove viruses that spread through AOL Instant Messenger (AIM).
- Go to the AIMFix website so you can download the program.
- Click the Download link on the website. Save the file to your desktop.
- Find the AIMFix.exe icon on your desktop and double-click it.
- When the security warning appears, click Run.
- An AIMFix window will appear. AIMFix will find and remove AIM-related viruses.
- When it is finished, press Enter to close the window.
Restart your computer to ensure complete removal of any viruses before launching AIM.
