All university employees (excluding student workers and extra help employees) must complete the State of Illinois online ethics training. University employees have from October 20 through November 18 to complete the training.
The ethics training website can be found at http://www.workplaceanswers.com/uillinois/.
The User ID for ethics training is NOT your ULID. It is a special login used only for the ethics training website. Your User ID is your first name, middle initial, last name, two-digit month of birth, and two-digit day of birth. The password for ethics training was sent to you in campus mail on an orange card entitled, "Mandatory Governmental Ethics Online Training."
Example User ID: John L. Smith was born on June 5. His User ID isjohnlsmith0605.
Note: Do not include the year you were born.

You have now completed the mandatory ethics training.
Student workers have a one-time requirement to complete the hard copy version of ethics training. Student workers are not required to take the online version of ethics training. If a student worker has ever completed the hard copy version of ethics training at any point in the past, he or she does not need to complete it again this year.
Student workers must read a hard copy ethics training document entitled "Ethics Orientation" and then sign an "Acknowledgment of Participation." Managers should print a copy of the "Ethics Orientation" [PDF] so their student workers can complete this.
Graduate assistants (GAs) are required to take the online ethics training just like full-time employees.
Civil Service extra help employees are exempt from both online and hard copy ethics training. Civil Service extra help employees are required to complete an ethics requirement when they are hired and therefore do not participate in the State of Illinois ethics training.
