Configure and use LDAP directory search in Entourage 2004 or Entourage 2008 so you can search for all people at Illinois State University.
You can search for ISU people using the unnamed entry in your Entourage address book. For more information, refer to 1273: Searching for ISU people with the address book in Entourage 2004/Entourage 2008.
Rather than use the unnamed entry, you may create and name an LDAP directory services entry. This works exactly like the unnamed address book entry, but it displays the name, "ISU People Search." The only reason to add a new directory service entry (as described below) is so the Entourage address book displays a recognizable, named search entry.
To configure LDAP directory search in Entourage 2004 or Entourage 2008, do the following:
ISU People Search in the Account name box.ad.ilstu.edu in the LDAP server box.DC=ad,DC=ilstu,DC=edu and then click OK.To search for people using the new ISU People Search, do the following:
The drop-down menu to the left of the search box controls your searches. By default, Name starts with is selected. This means, you must search using a person's name (and not his or her ULID). Click the drop-down menu and select E-mail address starts with to search by ULID or email address.
