Removing MS-PEAP cached credentials in Windows Vista

MS-PEAP login credentials are saved in Windows Vista. To remove the saved credentials, follow these instructions.

Before You Begin

When you connect to "isunet" using MS-PEAP in Windows Vista, your computer saves your ULID and password. It does this so you don't have to log in each time you connect. This is known as "cached credentials."

To remove MS-PEAP cached credentials in Windows Vista, you must make a change to the security settings for "isunet." These instructions require you to be within range of "isunet."

Removing MS-PEAP cached credentials from Windows Vista

To remove your MS-PEAP credentials from Windows Vista, do the following:

  1. Click Start > Connect To.
  2. Right-click on the isunet wireless network.
  3. Select Properties from the pop-up menu that appears.
  4. Remove the check mark from the box labeled, Cache user information for subsequent connections to the network.
  5. Click OK.

If you are currently connected to "isunet," performing these steps will disconnect you. To reconnect, you must log in again.

Windows Vista will prompt you to enter your ULID and password by displaying a message that says, "Additional information is required to connect to isunet." Click the message, and enter your ULID and password in the Enter Credentials window.
