Determining the software version on iPhone or iPod touch

Refer to the "About" dialog within "Settings" on your iPhone or iPod touch to determine its software version.

To determine the software version running on your iPhone or iPod touch, do the following:

  1. Press Settings > General > About.
  2. The software version running on your iPhone or iPod touch is located next to Version. (Figure 1)
