How do I print a map of Illinois State University?

Use the "Map Handouts" feature of the campus map website to print a stylized map, or use the "Print Map" feature" to print a standard copy of the campus map.

Campus Map Website

The campus map website offers two ways of printing a map of Illinois State University.

  • Specialty Maps - Use this feature to print a stylized version of the campus map. There are a few specialty maps to choose from, ranging from an area map with driving directions to campus to a map of all parking on campus.
     
  • Print Map - Use this feature to print a copy of the actual campus map. You can choose your zoom level and position the map where you want it before printing. You can also choose to display markers on the map.

Specialty Maps

To print one of the map handouts available on the campus map website, do the following:

  1. Go to the campus map website at http://maps.ilstu.edu/.
  2. Click the Specialty Maps link located at the top of the map.
  3. Click one of the map handout links to view it.
  4. Print the map handout just as you would any other web page or document.
    • For example, in Firefox or Internet Explorer, click File > Print.... Then click OK.

Print Map

To print a copy of the actual campus map, do the following:

  1. Go to the campus map website at http://maps.ilstu.edu/.
  2. Position the map where you want it.
    • Center the area you want to print.
    • Adjust the zoom to the desired level.
    • You can place a marker on the map by clicking a building or point of interest.
    • You can also use the panel of buildings on the left side of the map to add markers.
  3. Click the Print Map link located at the top of the map. A print page will load and display a section of the map in a printable box.
  4. Adjust the position of the map within the printable box.
  5. Add any notes you want to print with the map by typing in the Notes: box.
  6. When you are ready to print, click the Print link located above printable map.
