Connecting to "isunet" wireless on Mac OS X 10.6

Use Mac OS X 10.6 to access "isunet," a secure wireless network that is accessible throughout campus.

Before You Begin

On Mac OS X 10.6, no special configuration is necessary to access "isunet." The AirPort software on your Mac will automatically detect the appropriate settings (WPA2 Enterprise with PEAP authentication) and prompt you to log in when you connect to "isunet."

These instructions require you to be within range of "isunet." See 1092: Wireless access point locations on campus.

Connect to "isunet" on Mac OS X 10.6

To connect to "isunet" with Mac OS X 10.6, do the following:

  1. Click on the wireless symbol on the menu bar. This is the AirPort menu.
  2. If it's not already on, click Turn AirPort On.
  3. Select isunet from the list of available wireless networks in the AirPort menu.
  4. Enter your ULID and password.
  5. Click OK.

You are now connected to "isunet."

Troubleshooting

There are a few known issues regarding "isunet" and Mac OS X.

  • Each time you connect to "isunet," the Verify Certificate window might appear. You are required to click Continue to accept the certificate each time.
