Installing VPN profile on Mac OS X 10.6

Download and install the VPN profile for Mac OS X 10.6 so that you can access restricted resources from off-campus.

Before You Begin

Before you can access restricted resources from off campus, you must establish a VPN connection. Cisco VPN client and the Network Connect client in WebVPN do not work with Mac OS X 10.6.

Download and install the VPN profile for Mac OS X 10.6. This VPN profile makes use of the VPN capabilities that are built in to Mac OS X 10.6.

Install VPN Profile for Mac OS X 10.6

To download and install the VPN profile for Mac OS X 10.6, do the following:

  1. Download VPN profile for Mac OS X 10.6.
  2. After downloading it, the disk image named ISU VPN will automatically open.
    • If it does not open automatically, double-click on the file you downloaded. Then double-click ISU VPN to open the disk image.
  3. Double-click ISU VPN.networkConnect to install the VPN profile. The Network window will open.
  4. Verify that the Server Address: box says vpn01.ilstu.edu.
  5. Enter your ULID in the Account Name: box where it says [ULID Here].
  6. Verify that the Password: box says Server will prompt for password.
  7. Click the Apply button.
