  • OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

  1. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN? This contest has two parts, both of which are open to students, faculty, staff, and retirees of Illinois State University and U-High, except full-time employees of CTSG (the "Sponsor"), including full-time employees of Computer Infrastructure Support Services, Institutional Web Support, Student Technology Support Services, Classroom Support, Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology, and Telecommunications & Networking. Participants must be 18 years of age (or older) at the time of participation to win. To enter the online portion of the contest (the "Online Contest"), a valid ULID and password are required. To enter the giveaway at the speaker event (the "Speaker Event"), featuring Nicholas Percoco, on Oct. 20, 2009, a valid Redbird ID card is required.
  2. HOW TO ENTER. To enter Online Contest, go to http://www.helpdesk.ilstu.edu/security/cybersecurity/ during the Contest Period. Read the Cyber Security Awareness Month weekly articles and take the weekly quizzes (valid ULID and password required). To enter Speaker Event giveaway, go to the Circus Room in the Bone Student Center on Oct. 20, 2009 at 3:00pm. Swipe your Redbird ID card using the designated prize-registration computer and cardswipe (valid Redbird ID card is required).
  3. PRIZES. To be eligible to win the iPod Nano for Week 1 of Online Contest, a perfect score on the Week 1 quiz is required. To be eligible to win the iPod Nano for Week 2 of Online Contest, a perfect score on the Week 2 quiz is required. To be eligible to win the iPod Nano for Week 3 of Online Contest, a perfect score on the Week 3 quiz is required. To be eligible to win the iPod Nano for Week 4 of Online Contest, a perfect score on the Week 4 quiz is required. A perfect score on any of the four weekly quizzes registers participants to win the grand prize, an Xbox 360. Perfect scores on multiple quizzes gives multiple chances to win the Xbox 360. Each of the four Online Contest quizzes gives up to one chance per participant to win the Xbox 360, and registering at Speaker Event gives up to one chance per participant to win the Xbox 360, with a maximum of four perfect Online Contest quiz scores and one Speaker Event registration yielding a maximum of five chances to win the Xbox 360. Prizes are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
  4. WINNERS. All winners are randomly selected. Sponsor will notify winners with prize information by sending email to participants' ilstu.edu email addresses. All participants are eligible to win up to one (1) iPod Nano during the Contest Period. All participants, including those that have won iPod Nanos, are eligible to win the Xbox 360. Winners may waive the right to receive a prize. No substitutions or cash equivalents allowed by winners. Except where prohibited, participants agree to have their names, photos, likenesses, and winning status published on Illinois State University websites and/or in local newspapers, newsletters, and other publications.
  5. CONTEST PERIOD. The contest runs through the month of October 2009. The quiz for Week 1 of Online Contest is available from Oct. 5 through midnight on Oct. 11 and the iPod Nano winner for Week 1 of Online Contest will be randomly selected on Oct. 12. The quiz for Week 2 of Online contest is available from Oct. 12 through midnight on Oct. 18 and the iPod Nano winner for Week 2 of Online Contest will be randomly selected on Oct. 19. The quiz for Week 3 of Online contest is available from Oct. 19 through midnight on Oct. 25 and the iPod Nano winner for Week 3 of Online Contest will be randomly selected on Oct. 26. The quiz for Week 4 of Online contest is available from Oct. 26 through midnight on Nov. 1 and the iPod Nano winner for Week 4 of Online Contest will be randomly selected on Nov. 2. The iPod Nano winner for Speaker Event will be randomly selected on Oct. 20 at the end of the event. The grand prize Xbox 360 winner will be randomly selected on Nov. 2.
  6. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS. No purchase necessary. Must be present to win iPod Nano at Speaker Event. Some restrictions apply. Participants agree to receive email notifications about the contest sent to their ilstu.edu email addresses. Internet access is required.
