  • Do you need help with a computer owned by the University?
  • University-owned computers are supported through each department's support group. If you do not know who provides support for your department, use the Support Cluster Lookup form.
  • Do you have a question or need help with a computer you own?
  • You can request support for a personally owned computer in a variety of ways:
  • Use the Knowledge Base Search on this website to find a solution to your problem.
  • Call the University Computer Help Desk at (309) 438-HELP(4357).
  • Email the Help Desk at helpdesk@ilstu.edu.
  • Stop by the Help Desk office in Julian Hall 115 to get help in person.
  • Stop by the TechZone Service Center or the TechZone to get help with warranty repairs or hands-on assistance.
  • If you are a student living in a residence hall on campus, you can call the Help Desk to request in-room support from ResNet.
  • If you are having problems with your 4-digit PIN or online course registration, the Student Services Referral Center (SSRC) may be able to help.
  • You can sign up for a training course with the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT).

The Help Desk provides support for computers owned by students, faculty, staff, and retirees of Illinois State University.
